Keene Downtown Group Membership Drive

As the new year starts, the Keene Downtown Group starts its annual membership drive. Previous members are encouraged to renew their membership and talk to neighbors about the advantages of membership.

Downtown merchants who are not members are highly encouraged to join this year, keeping up the momentum of our growing organization.

The Keene Downtown Group is a non-profit organization of individuals and businesses devoted to preserving and promoting the vitality and vibrancy of downtown Keene. Together, we:

  • - Create marketing material that advocate all downtown businesses
  • - Organize promotional events that attract visitors
  • - Champion downtown infrastructure improvements to attract and keep potential customers
  • - Compile and communicate information about events and issues that impact downtown
  • - Help identify resources and cross promotional opportunities for members
  • - Unite downtown merchants residents and property owners
  • - Maintain an office and meeting center to promote the exchange of ideas
  • - Employ part-time staffing to facilitate and implement goals

As a group, there's a better chance of success trying to mold downtown for the better. We've been successful in the past and will continue to work with city officials to meet the needs of downtown merchants.

The KDG worked with state and city resources to design, develop and implement “Downtown Keene” directional signs placed strategically along Route 9, Route 101, Route 12 and Washington Street. Also, the KDG worked with the city to place three new signs on Main Street to show additional downtown parking.

KDG membership is made up of fellow downtown stakeholders including property owners, business owners, residents and community leaders. We hope you’ll join us as a member this year and participate in encouraging and sustaining a thriving downtown economy and community.
